Patrick Draws Things

I stumbled across Patrick Draws Things, the portfolio of Patrick Hruby, the other day. His pieces are created solely with geometric shapes and highlight an impeccable eye for color schemes. There is masterful overlapping of shapes. My favorite illustrations are “Dream Building” and “Ice Flower.”

He’s also done some typography work, such as the very creative “Imagine Something Beautiful” that I’ve displayed above. I also love the “Urban Outfitters” piece. The subtle variations turn it into a stunning piece of art. I feel inspired to returning to work with geometric shapes now!

WordPress installed

While I am experimenting with other blogging/content management systems, I figured I might as well install WordPress for the time being. I love minimalistic design, so this design may be here for a while!

On a sidenote, if you are curious about my domain name, here’s the simple explanation behind it: I have a predilection for neon colors! Of course, not in a go-crazy headache-inducing way, but in that splashes of bright colors have the power to add something extra to a design. That’s all!
